Basic Stained Glass Course

Learn the basic steps of the craft and create your own stained glass work.

Stained glass is both a craft and an art form. It requires a lot of skills, but also gives you plenty of room for creativity! During this stained glass course, you will learn all the basic techniques, create your own unique artwork, all under professional guidance. Sanderjan shares his expertise and skills with great passion.

The three-day course has a packed programme where you will work towards your own unique window of 50x50cm in just a few days.

On the first day, you will learn about the craft of stained glass, the tension of the glass, and the use of lead. You will learn the basic techniques and create an initial test piece. In the afternoon, you will learn what a working drawing looks like and what to pay attention to during the design process. This way, you can get started on your own design.

You will go home with a test piece of 20x20cm and a unique design of 50x50cm, with a combined value of approximately €620.

The course runs with a minimum of 4 participants and has a maximum of 6.

All materials are available on site:

• Glass cutter, cutting oil, cutting ruler

• Lead knife, hammer, lead holders

• Soldering iron, solder, oil

• Cleaning materials

• You can make use of a wide choice of types of glass.

• Coffee, tea and water are provided.

• First aid materials and insurance.

Important: Are you pregnant? Then it is best to postpone the workshop until your little miracle is born. Additionally, the workshop is only accessible from the age of 15.
